Free School Assemblies
|
| Thanks to a generous anonymous donor plus
Alice Everard Charitable Foundation, AWP is offering FREE assemblies
to 30 elementary schools in the Delaware Valley! The assembly include
an author book reading of "The Dog Who Couldn't Wag His Tail,"
a heart warming story of a wonderful dog who survived cruelty and
went on to serve his community as a celebrity. This gift allows us
to additionally leave behind 20 books for the school, signed by the
author and stamped with a pawmark of Mighty Mite, the story's star.
|
We also add a live visit with "Ike," who carries the books
while performing as a Service Dog! We discuss animal cruelty in a
gentle way, introducing children to the concepts of Puppy Mills, Dog
Fighting, Spay/Neuter, and especially, "Be a Buddy, Not A Bully."
The underlying effort is to teach children to be kind to animals.
Since cruelty is a known precursor to Domestic Violence, our goal
is to reach children while they are impressionable --- and thwart
violence in their futures! |
 |
If your school desires to receive this gift, give us a call ---- and
make sure to get scheduled during 2010! |
